Local SEO Checklist for Service Businesses
Local SEO Checklist for Service Businesses
Local SEO works best when the same story is reinforced across your website, Google Business Profile and the rest of the web. For service businesses, the goal is to make it obvious what you do, where you do it and how a customer can contact you.
1. Get Your Core Business Information Right
Keep the business name, primary phone, website and other important information consistent. Use legitimate categories and service areas rather than stuffing extra keywords into fields that are not designed for them.
2. Build Real Service Pages
Do not make one page carry every service. Important services deserve useful pages that explain the problem, the service, who it is for and the next step.
3. Strengthen Internal Linking
Link related services, industry pages and educational articles together. Internal links help customers navigate and help search engines understand the structure of the site.
4. Build Trust
Use accurate reviews, real project information, strong photos, clear policies and consistent business profiles. Avoid fake reviews, fake addresses and mass-produced location pages with no unique value.
5. Make Contact Easy
Phone links, forms and calls to action should be obvious on mobile. A ranking that does not generate inquiries is not the finish line.
